Scoot-run-slide-a-thon event

Our task was to plan and implement a volunteery community project that will have a positive impact on others.
On Wednesday me and Callum set up a scoot-run-slide-a-thon for Te kakano since it was our WIT to volunteer.

From Te Kakano:


“It was challenging on the scootering”


Asher “I didn’t like the pool because I was too short”


Mrs Rogers said next time can you make one for adults.


Kairangi “I liked the scootering”



Lily “I thought the run was too long”


Trish suggested “you could make an obstacle course out on the field”


Callum “I liked that we chose the little kids to just do it to keep it smaller and make them fit.  We planned it and it worked out good.  Planning is important.  It was hard running around after all the kids like a lunatic”

Jack “If we didn’t spend as much time planning it, it would have turned out worse.  Putting the cones down and having the TÅ«hono course marshals helped them know where to go.  The best part was that they were all happy and participating and having fun.  For next time, we would love to have an obstacle course.”

This Is my carnival art. I chose a t-dye t-shirt because It sounded very challenging and I was running out of t-shirts at my house. I think it was a good idea that I put on my name. but this was my thought before I put on my name.

Is Nesquik Chocolate Milk healthy or not?

Do you think Nesquik chocolate should be a treat or not?  I believe it definitely should be and here are the reasons why…
Sugar

The limit to be healthy is 10 grams of sugar. Nesquik has 21 grams of sugar. So that is two times over the limit to be healthy. So i would recommend having under 10 grams of sugar. Your body does need carbohydrates, which are broken down into sugar in your body.

Fat

This chocolate nesquik milk has 28 grams of fat in total that is over the limit of 10 grams of fat so that is very bad so that's unhealthy. Yes, it does. Dietary fats are essential to give your body energy and to support cell growth.

Sodium

Sodium is good for you only if its got under 400 mg. Sodium helps keep the water (the amount of fluid inside and outside the body's cells) and electrolyte balance of the body. Sodium is also important in how nerves and muscles work.

So therefore I think this product should be only taken as a treat

W.I.T recourse

Hi my name is Jack for my W.I.T my group chose an i movie because we thought it would be really Quick but it wasn’t it was a nightmare but we persisted in the i movie eventually  we finished it i had lots of fun I was really glad we finished. We went in before we started our W.I.T resource  we asked them if they liked movies and they all said yes and we also asked them if they liked books 2 of them said yes. So we chose to make an i movie we asked them also if they had heard of kahoots 1 of them knew about kahoots. We had a hard time trying to finish our i movie. See you next time.
